About Gas generator sets require gas composition standards:

    1. Requirements for main combustible components

    ‌Methane content‌

The methane (CH₄) content in the gas must be ≥90% to ensure combustion efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions (such as nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, etc.).

When using other combustible gases such as oilfield associated gas and biogas, it is necessary to ensure that the proportion of the main combustible components meets the technical requirements of the unit.

    2. Sulfide control standards

    ‌Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S)‌

The hydrogen sulfide content must be ≤20mg/Nm³ (≤50mg/Nm³ in some scenarios) to avoid corrosion of spark plugs and internal components of the unit16.

    ‌Total sulfide‌

The total sulfide (including H₂S and other sulfides) content is usually ≤200mg/Nm³, and special models or exhaust gas treatment systems may require lower requirements.

    3. Other impurity restrictions

    ‌Particulate matter and tar‌

The particle size of the particulate matter must be ≤5μm, and the total content must be ≤30mg/Nm³; the tar content must be ≤50mg/Nm³ to prevent clogging of pipes and filters.

‌Ammonia (NH₃) and volatile silicon compounds‌

The ammonia content must be ≤20mg/Nm³, and volatile organic silicon compounds must be tested by engine oil to ensure that they do not exceed the standard to avoid deposits covering the cylinder or catalyst failure.

    4. Humidity and moisture requirements

The moisture content in the fuel gas must be ≤40g/Nm³, and no free water must be contained; the input temperature should be maintained between 5-40℃ to avoid freezing at low temperatures or damage to the equipment at high temperatures.

    5. Supplementary special application scenarios

When using landfill gas and other gases containing complex impurities, pretreatment is required to remove harmful components such as dust, benzene, and naphthalene, and ensure that the post-combustion emissions meet the requirements of regulations such as the "Emission Standards for Air Pollutants from Thermal Power Plants"
